Meet Dr. Jacqueline Amparo, DDM

Dr. Amparo studied Dentistry in the Philippines and graduated in 1984. Her dental degree(DDM) was recognised in Australia in 1992. An early adapter of holistic treatment, she worked with a holistic dentist in the Gold Coast from 1992-1996 at a time when holistic dentists were seen as quacks and composite resins were deemed inferior as a restoration of choice. The health benefits of amalgam removals raised more interest in the field. Her passion for this treatment approach was forged after witnessing the negative effects of placing a non-precious metal alloy crown on her sister which triggered an autoimmune disease, from which her sister still suffers to this day. A painful lesson learned but a story worth telling that now speaks of her motivation in this endeavor.

On returning to Sydney, she pursued a course with Occlusion guru Dr. Bill McHorris which complemented her holistic approach. Jackie then worked with Dr. Gammal's holistic dental practice in Sydney from 1997-2004. From then, she concentrated on building up her own holistic practice, Dentistry for Your Health.

Her sense of humour is great for a laugh making her patients feel relaxed in the chair and her sensitivity is an asset in a healing profession. Jackie loves dentistry, traveling, listening to music, and golf.

Meet Dr. Elizabeth Rios, DDM

Dr. Rios graduated in 1984 with a Doctor of Dental Medicine(DDM) degree from the University of the East, Philippines. After passing the Australian Dental Examining Council(ADEC) exams which recognised her dental degree in 1993, Whilst working as a Dental Officer for the QE II dental clinic for 3
years where she treated patients under general anaesthesia on a weekly basis. Elizabeth worked in holistic dental practices in Sydney and the Gold Coast before forming a partnership with Dr Amparo and establishing Dentistry for your Health in 2009.

Elizabeth is a caring dentist with a gentle approach that endears her to all her patients. She treasures the friendships she has forged over the years through dentistry. She volunteers her time to help the aged in nursing homes and loves to travel, yoga and going to classes at the gym.
